Your gut health plays a huge role in the way your entire body functions. A poor gut can impact your skin, vaginal flora, digestion, mental health, hormones, energy levels, immunity and many other health related issues. I've spent so much money and wasted so much time trying to fix the lengthy list of issues that I was enduring. I had no idea that all of these issues that I had were all connected to one thing- MY GUT. I hopelessly spent a ridiculous amount of money on high end skin care. I purchased every exfoliator, cleanser, face mask and serum I could get my hands on. Nothing worked for me the way I imagined it would. My lack of energy was concerning. I was getting a healthy amount of sleep, but the energy just wasn’t there. Feeling lethargic was starting to be the new norm for me. I feel deep into a rabbit hole about digestive wellness. The more I read up on it the more I felt seen. I immediately began to see what I could remove from my diet and what I needed to add to it. I wouldn't call it an overall diet because I still have a few things I shouldn't every here and there. I try not to quit anything cold turkey. I start by removing things at my own pace.
Slowed down on foods that were highly inflammatory/utra processed
Cut back on ingesting cold beverages
Started most of my mornings with warm lime water
Limited alcohol
Started incorporating more fermented foods and beverages into my meals
Became besties with ginger and marshmallow root
Aloe juice first thing in the morning and right before bed at night
